Hello! I am Sandy Vulliet and I’m 28 years old. I live in Geneva, Switzerland, and I work in communications and public relations. I’m passionate about sports and used to compete in swimming when I was younger. This year, after six months of training, I ran my first marathon in Geneva — it was the most incredible experience of my life. As soon as I crossed the finish line, one thought came to mind: to run another marathon, this time in London, a city that has always been a dream of mine. I lived in London for a few months and truly fell in love with the city — the lifestyle, the energy, and the amazing people. This second marathon holds a special place in my heart, as I am honoured to run in support of Southampton Sight. Life can change in an instant, whether due to illness or an accident, which is why savouring each moment is so important. Supporting those who have lost their sight is a cause that is deeply meaningful to me. I will always remember a woman I met when I was 10 years old who had lost her vision in a car accident — her courage left a lasting impression on me. I am running this marathon for her and for everyone who faces this challenge. It’s my way of showing solidarity and contributing to a cause that truly matters.
