This week our Monday and Wednesday Lunch Groups were joined by young people from The King’s Trust’s Team Programme at Itchen Sixth Form College. As part of their 12-week personal development programme the Team came to deliver direct support. Between serving ice cream sundaes – prepared to order, teaching new games, partaking in a quiz and playing darts the King’s Trust Team chatted and laughed alongside members and a great time was had by all. This is a great example of how people from different generations and with different life experiences can learn from each other.

The students also took part in a blindfold challenge and sight loss awareness training, including how to provide sighted guiding.

Our staff, volunteers and members thoroughly enjoyed sharing their stories with these enthusiastic young people and we look forward to working with the King’s Trust again in the future.
