For over 125 years, Southampton Sight has been supporting people living with sight loss across Southampton. And through all those years, one thing has never changed. Our wonderful volunteers have been at the heart of everything we do. Week in, week out, they give their time, kindness, patience and good humour to help others live life to the fullest. They really are the backbone of our charity and we simply could not do what we do without them.
So, how do we say thank you to such a lovely bunch of people? With a scrumptious afternoon tea, of course!
We had scones, tea, plenty of indulgence, lots of laughter and gratitude by the bucket-load. After all, if anyone deserves a little spoiling, it is the people who spend so much time looking after others. To all our amazing volunteers, thank you for everything you do. You make a real difference to the people in Southampton living with sight loss and yesterday was all about celebrating you.
A cup of tea, a scone and a room full of wonderful people. Can life get any better!
