Opportunities are rolling out for the Get Set Progress internship programme, delivered by the Thomas Pocklington Trust in partnership with RNIB.
This pioneering programme offers 9-month, paid internships designed specifically for blind and partially sighted individuals (aged 18+) across the UK.
Why apply?
- Fair Pay: All positions are paid in line with the Real Living Wage.
- Proven Success: 3 in 4 past interns move straight into employment, education, or training within 6 months!
- Full Support: You’ll receive dedicated mentorship from someone with lived experience, professional training, and access to assistive technology.
- Diverse Roles: Placements span multiple sectors, from tech and communications to policy, charity projects, and HR.
Our Sight Loss Adviser Kim came to us through the program last year and had this to say about her experience: “I have gained so much from this internship. The amazing people I have met and valuable skills I’ve learned have given me more confidence in myself and my ability to take on new challenges. I have made new friends and I am excited about the rewarding new career ahead of me.”
Whether you’re looking for your very first job or rebuilding your confidence after sight loss, Get Set Progress is your launchpad to a meaningful career.
