Accessible healthcare helps us stay independent and empowered to manage our own health and wellbeing. This is why inclusive communication is so important and why Southampton Sight works with partners across the NHS to make sure our members voices are heard.

Last week Rebecca from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust came to speak to our members about their lived experience of communicating with the NHS. They discussed how adaptions could be made to make communication more inclusive and accessible, and Rebecca left with invaluable insights into the lives of those living with sight loss.

We will continue to work with partners to create a holistic and person led healthcare system.
