Southampton Sight would like to offer a sincere Thank You to Co-op Members for helping to support our Visually Impaired Emotional Wellbeing (VIEW) Group courses.
The funding will help establish and run four 6-week emotional wellbeing courses over the coming year for anyone living with sight loss across Southampton who feels they need help adjusting to a new way of life.
Developed and run by those with lived experience, the courses will empower attendees, tackling such issues as positive thinking, support networks, and assertiveness, and allow them to meet others in a similar situation. Peer support is key, and our courses will help foster friendship and support groups moving forward, all within our wholly accessible centre. Attendees will also have direct access to all our holistic services tailored for the visually impaired, helping to make life with sight loss as fulfilled and inclusive as possible.
As a small, independent charity, without the ongoing support offered by Co-op Members we simply could not provide the level of support we do. So, a massive Thank You again from everyone at Southampton Sight! We look forward to collaborating with all again in the coming years.
