Southampton Sight was delighted to welcome Andy Skinner from the Arts and Heritage Learning Team at Southampton City Council to our centre today. Our Monday Group had the pleasure of exploring Southampton’s Victorian past, brought to life through Andy’s wonderful collection of artefacts.
Members had the unique opportunity to see, hold, and even try on pieces from the era, making history feel truly tangible. Andy also shared insights into Southampton’s connection to Queen Victoria, who frequently stopped at Terminus Terrace on her way to Osborne House on the Isle of Wight.
A huge thank you to Andy for another captivating session! We always enjoy his visits and the fascinating stories he brings to life.
