At Southampton Sight, MAD means Making a Difference.

And while KPIs and targets matter, the real impact of our work isn’t always something you can neatly measure.

One of the ways we know we are making a difference is through our Hardship Fund — created thanks to the generosity of a private donor, to support people when they feel they have no roads left to follow.

Over the years, this fund has helped with things that truly change lives: a deposit to secure safe housing, a new bed for rest and dignity, access to training courses and new opportunities.

These moments do not always fit into a spreadsheet. But for the people we support, they mean security, hope, and the reassurance that someone is there when it matters most.

That’s impact.
That’s understanding.
And that’s why we’re proud to be MAD.
