A huge thank you to Mark from Solent Spectacles and everyone who joined us for our ‘Step Into the Future’ Meta Smart Glasses event on Wednesday, November 19th. We were thrilled to welcome over 20 enthusiastic tech-heads who came to explore and try out the next wave of assistive technology for themselves.
From hands-free voice controlled calls and texting, smart reading, and Be My Eyes compatibility to faster A.I. responses, the demonstrations sparked lively conversations and plenty of eagerness about how this impressive leap in innovation can support independence and accessibility for anyone living with sight loss.
It was inspiring to see such genuine excitement from everyone who attended the presentation by Solent Spectacles, followed by Q&A’s alongside the time allocated for the hands-on demonstration. The future of wearable technology is looking brighter than ever, and we’re proud to be part of the journey with our members.
If you were unable to attend the event, don’t worry, we are looking to repeat the session in the New Year when the next generation of Meta glasses launches in the UK.
