As the year draws to a close, Southampton Sight has once more been filled with festive cheer, friendship, and gratitude. From our youngest to our liveliest, the Christmas season has been a wonderful reminder of the strength and warmth of our community.
125+ years and counting, we continue to deliver impactful, meaningful, and fulfilling services for anyone and everyone living with sight loss in the city, staying true to our core values while embracing new opportunities. We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to our members, volunteers, and donors whose generosity and tireless support has made everything we do possible.
🎄 Young @ Heart Christmas Party
Our Young @ Heart V.I. social group, aged 18 to “none of your business,” gathered at Southampton Sight for their annual Christmas celebration. With crackers, mulled wine, and a lively quiz, old friends and new faces alike enjoyed an evening of laughter and festive fun.

🍴 Working Age Group Festive Feast
The Working Age group brought their own spicy brand of seasonal sparkle to Tap & Tandoor Southampton, sharing a delicious meal and plenty of festive laughter. We are grateful to the amazing staff for their warm hospitality, and to all those who joined us for this joyful gathering.

🥂 Lunch and Laughter Outings
Our Monday and Wednesday Lunch and Laughter groups enjoyed festive trips to The Southampton Arms, where good food and friendship made for a memorable afternoon. Thanks as ever go out to the volunteers who made these outings possible.

👶 My Time to Play Christmas Party
The youngest members of our community, aged 0 – 4, joined us and our amazing partners, the Guide Dogs, for an extra-special ‘My Time to Play’ session. Their Christmas party was a delight of singing, crafting, playing, and festive treats, a true celebration of festive fun and togetherness.
