Living with vision loss can be challenging, but it doesn’t define the strength and courage of those who face this adversity on a daily basis and so here at Southampton Sight we have regular V.I.E.W. courses where we bring together a group of people newly diagnosed with sight loss over a period of 6 weeks to explore and challenge themselves as to how they can live well with their sight loss. The course is facilitated by someone who himself lives with sight loss and has faced similar challenges. ‘The only limits you have are the limits you believe’ a quote from Wayne Dyer encompasses all that we try to do on this course and over soup and cake I was delighted when one of the group said to me ‘I now know there is life after my sight loss’ – Can it get better than this?
