Yesterday, our centre turned into a mini MasterChef kitchen as we welcomed 6 brilliant young people for a cooking adventure! In partnership with Guide Dogs Habilitation workers, they chopped, stirred, and taste-tested their way through macaroni cheese and fruit kebabs—and yes, they were delicious.
But this wasn’t just about tasty bites—it was all about building independent living skills with a side of confidence. Thanks to funding from Tesco The Sun Healthy Cooking for All, each young chef went home with their very own starter cooking kit!
Talking measuring scales, knife guards, liquid level indicators… basically, everything but the kitchen sink. We wouldn’t be surprised if a few parents woke up to a surprise breakfast this morning!
Cooking + confidence = a recipe for success.
