Yesterday I received my award letter in the post and in braille, (shocked face)

After submitting my claim form in November and a very long wait for an answer, I called the DWP to remind them that I hadn’t been given any indication of any award.  Three weeks later, (yesterday) I finally have an answer.

I’ve been awarded the enhanced rate of PIP for both the daily living and mobility parts of the application process.  Hurrah! I was starting to worry that I’d have to attend a face to face assessment or appeal, but no.

This I believe is all because I used the DWP’s service that provides someone to assist with form filling.  These people are highly trained and experienced, and I can’t thank them enough for easing any worry’s I had on the day, the lady who assisted me made the process of the form filling so much easier.

If you find you need to claim benefits and need help filling in the forms, then please tell the DWP you require the help, otherwise they may withdraw this very vital service.
