We were pleased to welcome Emma Bailey from the NHS, who recently visited to explain the ins and outs of Martha’s Rule and what it means for patients and families.
Martha’s Rule gives patients, families and carers the right to ask for an urgent review if they are worried that a person’s condition is getting worse and feel their concerns are not being heard. It provides an extra layer of reassurance, ensuring that people can quickly access a second clinical opinion when needed.
Thank you to Emma for taking the time to help us better understand how this important initiative supports patient safety and empowers families to speak up.
