It’s raining, it’s pouring – but our little ones definitely aren’t snoring. They’re outside, fully kitted up and ready for adventure, enjoying every moment in our new mud kitchen.

The children who attend ‘My Time to Play’ run by Guide Dogs will now be able to indulge in some outdoor play here at Southampton Sight. The mud kitchen will invite hands-on exploration through touch, sound, and movement, giving our children the freedom to explore, create and build confidence in their own way. From scooping and pouring to mixing and making, there will be learning happening everywhere, even on the rainiest days.

With their waterproofs on and wellies at the ready, our outdoor space will be a place that will encourage curiosity, imagination and also has a real forest school feel. A huge thank you to Overbury for helping us create a space where our children can explore nature, play independently and truly get stuck in, whatever the weather.

Messy fun, big smiles but Shhh who is going to tell the parents!
